Chairman of the Board
I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico; most of my family lives there. In 1994, I received a Bachelor of Science in Economics, and left my hometown to live in Mexico City where I joined the Procter & Gamble (P&G) Finance department. In 1999, P&G sent me on an international assignment to Venezuela. In 2001, I came back to P&G Mexico. By 2007, I earned a MBA degree and joined Danone Waters Mexico, where I was promoted a year later to serve as their Chief Financial Officer. From 2008 to 2011, I was a board member of Danone joint venture. In 2009, I met Michael, my husband, in Mexico City. We got married in 2011, and we moved to the USA, settling in Bee Cave, Tx. We attend Emmaus Catholic Church in Lakeway. We have two children that started in DSCA in 2017. I have served on the board since 2018, and I have been Chairman of the Board since June 2021. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, traveling, and helping others. I feel honored to have the opportunity to be part of the DSCA Board.
Head of School
Vision and creativity- two things of which I do not inherently possess outside of the Holy Spirit. God knows this and has given inspiration from the initial vision of creating a Classical Christian school to future vision of growth and excellence for His glory. The vision of DSCA is God-given collectively through its Board, and it is an honor to be a part of that process.
As Head of School, I have a non-voting seat, but serve an important role as a voice for the community, families, students, and staff. I am confident in the work God is doing through DSCA and look forward to seeing the fruit for His kingdom.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Technology from Coastal Carolina University, and I have worked in the Information Technology field for my entire career. My husband and I decided to call Texas home in 2014, and we have been a part of the DSCA family since the fall of 2019. My husband serves in the United States Navy Reserves and I am currently an area lead for enterprise accounts at a high tech company. Being a military family and a full time working mom presents its challenges, but we have been able to navigate this by the grace of God and with the help from the amazing people at DSCA.
I believe that the Christian values that are held and practiced at DSCA serve an important role in today’s world and are a positive voice for our community and families. I feel blessed to have found DSCA, and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the board.
The hand of God and how he works in all of our lives truly amazes me. I am so thankful for the adventure that he sent us on that led us to Dripping Springs and DSCA. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a specialization in music that I received from East Texas Baptist University. I have had the opportunity to teach in both public and private Christian schools in the Houston metroplex. I met my husband, Greg, at ETBU, and we have two boys. Our youngest attends DSCA and absolutely loves it! For a while, I owned my own business in interior decorating and event planning. I still have a passion for design as well as music. I have traveled in many singing groups and was very active in music ministry in different churches in Houston. I am honored to serve as a board member for DSCA. I love the heart and mission of DSCA to raise our children up to be Kingdom Builders. I am excited to see all that God will continue to accomplish through our wonderful staff, students and families.
Fundraising Committee Chair
I met my wife Jessica and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2001 with a degree in Industrial Distribution in the College of Engineering. We moved our family to the Central Texas Area shortly after that and have been in the Wimberley Valley / Driftwood Area since 2003. Our youngest, Kendal, has attended DSCA since the fourth grade and currently attends High School there. While I have been more of a helper to my wife in her volunteering at the school, I joined the board in 2021 looking to fill a spiritual calling that was in my heart. DSCA was not only a Christian School that we desired but also a place that recognized social and family morals that children need, as well as a strong education. My goal with the help of God and the other Board Members is to help grow DSCA and create long term sustainability in their mission to create Ambassadors. I look forward to what the future holds for DSCA and am glad to be a small part of what it as a whole brings to this community.
