Accounts Manager & Photographer

Rebecca McCrocklin

I have been involved with DSCA since the beginning in 2006. Although I have no formal training in education, and my husband and I have no children of our own, God has called me to minister in a variety of ways to the children of others. Through my love of the Lord, I am blessed to see your children in a special way and, with photography, capture their tender hearts and joyous spirits throughout the school to share with you. It is an honor to serve at DSCA.

Brookes Dungan

I am thankful to God for all He has done in my life and is still doing in being conformed to the image of Christ. I believe leading by example is important; I love to read the Bible with my students as I teach them who God is.
I am passionate about teaching the scriptures to children and youth- it makes me happy as I watch my students learn more about God, as they grow into the individuals God created them to be. I have a Child Development Associates and am working towards obtaining my Masters in Christian Education. My hobbies include playing piano, exercise, horseback riding, hiking, volleyball and travel. I have a heart for missional work and for sharing the Gospel to children around the world. I am very thankful for the opportunity to teach at DSCA!
K4 Preschool

Robin Carson

I was born and raised in southern Ontario, Canada, and moved with my family to Texas in 1995.  I returned to the area to be with family again last year.  I graduated from University in Waxahachie, TX with a Bachelors degree in Counseling/Psychology.  I have worked in Social Work and different ministries, but most of my experience has been caring for children in a preschool environment (around 10 yrs). I do not have children, but enjoy time with my family (including my niece and nephew).  I love to travel, to be in nature, to read, and to spend time with God.  I also love to explore and learn, and hope to share these joys with the children I teach here at DSCA
Faculty Advisor and 2nd Grade

Kris Maguire

After graduating from California State University at Chico with a degree in Communication Design, I went on to begin my career in advertising as a Graphic Designer and Art Director. Little did I know what the Lord had planned for my future career path. My husband (who happens to be my high school sweet heart) and I decided early in our careers to pursue jobs overseas. We spent 8 years in Munich, Germany and returned back to the beloved state of Texas with 3 children in tow. While overseas, the Lord placed influential people in my path which in turn led me to begin a new career as a homeschool mother.  Fortunately, coloring for a living was right up my alley. I fell in love with Classical Christian Education and as I began to educate my own children, a whole world of learning that I never experienced opened up before me. History came to life, writing became beautiful, and mathematics…well, were still mathematics. My three beautiful and courageous children are now almost grown and venturing out into higher education.  I love teaching children, especially in regards history and God’s plan in it. It never ceases to amaze and humble me what God has done and is doing.  It is a privilege and honor to be able to share this with little ones.

3rd Grade

Becca S.

Becca has been working with students in an education setting since 2016, though teaching in a Christian school since 2022. Currently, she is working on her master’s degree and on training her rescue dog to be a certified therapy dog. She is obsessed with all things history, especially the founding of America and Texas. She counts it an honor and a blessing to now be able to fully incorporate all aspects of God’s amazing Love and Redemptive story into daily learning in the classroom.

Director of Communications

Josi Woods

I was raised in Dripping Springs and moved back to raise my children here too!  I am a wife, mom, and dog lover.  I enjoy reading, camping with family and friends, snuggling with my pups, and fishing.  I absolutely love working with my hands and getting creative.

I believe that creativity produces creative thinkers, explorers, troubleshooters, inventors, risk takers, thought provokers, and great storytellers; and I am excited to get creative with our DSCA family!

Rhetoric Math

Susan Warwick

“God used beautiful mathematics in creating the earth.”   Paul Daric

“Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.”    Albert Einstein

I am Susan Warwick, mother, grandmother, friend, retired public high school mathematics teacher after 43 years, long time Dripping Springs resident, active community volunteer, member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, member of the DS Lions Club, book reader, puzzle solver, ATV rider, swimmer, music lover, dog lover, beach lover, and on and on.  I worship God, love Jesus, and am continually moved by the Holy Spirit.  I am eager to share my love of God and my love of mathematics with my students at Dripping Springs Christian Academy for this, my fourth year teaching here.

“Mathematics is the language in which God has written the universe.”  Galileo Galilei
Logic and Rhetoric Latin.

Lyn Ragan

I am a native Texan, originally from Houston. After graduating from Rice University with degrees in Political Science and Psychology, I worked for a law firm before becoming a full-time mom. Throughout the years, I have taught in various homeschooling and co-op settings, as well as some ESL ministries. I believe that it is very important to help children develop a mastery of language, writing, and communication, so they are better able to express their Christian faith and convictions. I am excited to be a part of that training at DSCA.

Rhetoric Humanities

Chuck Hughes

Chuck was born in Indiana, where he lived with loving Christian parents and 3 siblings until age 16. In 1976 the family moved to Athens, Alabama to assume the management of CEI Bookstore, a Christian bookstore and publishing company. Chuck attended High School and College in Alabama, graduating from the University of Alabama in 1983 with a degree in engineering. (Roll Tide!)

In 1989 Chuck moved to Houston, Texas and held several jobs in the printing industry and later moved to Austin Texas in 1991, to accept a position as an estimator for a large commercial printing company.

In 1998, while volunteering for habitat for Humanity Chuck met and befriended Dianne Rhyne from Lynden Texas, the two were married later that year and have remained hopelessly in love with each other ever since.

Chuck and Dianne are both dedicated followers of Jesus Christ. Since becoming a Christian in 2001 Chuck has served in various Christian ministries including youth ministry and teaching.

Currently, Chuck works full time as a Land Development project manager for an Austin Home-building company and part time at DSCA teaching humanities 2 days per week.

Deborah Hammons

I love music and drama as an expression of the creativity that God has placed in all of us. It is one of my great joys to share that with my students and to watch their creativity blossom. In creating, singing, making music, and exploring that creativity, we worship Him with our whole being.

Sarah Sellers

I have been a prominent member of the Dripping Springs fitness community for over 14 yrs and have resided here for over 20 years. After graduating with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Physical Education from Southwest Texas State University, I began sharing my passion for fitness as a personal trainer and then went on to teach physical education at DSCA on and off over the past 10 years. I am an avid runner who has completed numerous 5k’s, 10k’s, marathons, and ultra-marathons, including a 50 mile trail race. In my spare time I also enjoy hiking, reading, involvement at church, and spending time with my two daughters and son. My goal is to not only help our kids get stronger through physical activity, but also to shape their hearts along the way.
