Texas tax-free back-to-school shopping guide

You can save big when you purchase most clothing, footwear, school supplies, and backpacks for less than $100. You’ll be able to purchase qualifying items from any Texas store or online/catalog seller without having to provide an exemption certificate. So don’t wait – get ready for Tax-Free Weekend and start shopping for all of your needs! Just remember, this exemption applies only during the sales tax holiday – items bought before or after do not qualify.’

When is the sales tax holiday?

This year’s sales tax holiday begins Friday, Aug. 11, and goes through midnight Sunday, Aug. 13.

Back-to-school shopping List

With your tuition, the basic school supplies will the provided.
DSCA shopping list:

  • DSCA uniform – see DSC dress code
  • Lunch box
  • Lunch bag
  • Backpack
  • Locker items for Upper grades only

DSCA Dress code is required for all students. Students are expected to wear solid-colored, long or short sleeve polo style shirts with solid black, blue or khaki pants or shorts with like-colored stitching and closed-toed tennis shoes or dress shoes that are appropriate for recess and P.E. Hair is expected to be naturally colored, well-groomed, neat, clean and out of the eyes. There are very specific guidelines to our dress code.
